BABY QUILTS
I will be offering you patterns and directions to make a variety of baby quilts. These quilts will be a combination of applique and pieced blocks. Some of the quilts will be very simple, while others will be more difficult, but none will be to hard to do. Most of the quilts can be used for either sex. Only my "Drifting to Paradise" boat quilt would be for a boy rather than a girl. The size on the quilt can be easily changed by adding or subtracting squares. The following are some of the quilts I have made. As I come up with new ideas for quilts I will be sharing them with you.
"Sailing to Dreamland" - This is a strip piece quilt. It is a very easy first quilt. The only pattern is a boat, that has three pieces. Because it is a strip quilt, it is very easy to make larger or smaller.
"Teddy Bears Party"- This quilt combines both applique and pieced blocks. It has two basic blocks, a bear holding three balloons, and focus fabric block with a matching border.
"Puppy Love" is an easy applique quilt . There is just one pattern that is repeated twelve times, with sashing between the blocks.
"Drifting to Paradise" - This is a pictorial quilt. It has just a few pattern pieces. I enjoyed the creativity of designing it. You can either make it as is, or be creative and make it your own.
"Baby Bugs Galore" This quilt is a little more challenging than the other two quilts. It has six different bug pattern, but each one is very easy to do. There are ten applique bug squares, the remaining squares are bug fabric and chenille fabric.
Colorful dinosaurs is a baby quilt that combines an attic window block with an appliqued dinosaur center.
Dancing Squares - this quilt is a disappearing nine patch. A disappearing nine patch is an easy variation of the nine patch
I hope you like the baby quilts I have thus far. Each one is easy to do. I will be adding more as I make them. If you have an idea for a quilt, send me an e-mail and I will try to design one.
